Membership is open to everyone who loves to sing, and we do not require auditions.
If you enjoy singing, then you should join the
Huron Valley Harmonizers!
Visit as many as 10 times, and if you enjoy it,
we'll look forward to you becoming a full member!
Once you become a member of the Harmonizers:
-
You'll gain access to our complete library (120+ songs) of sheet music and learning tracks. Learning tracks are voice part-predominant recordings of a song that will help you learn your music. They are also just a lot of fun to sing along with!
-
New members receive two chorus shirts with our logo, which we wear when we perform in public and at competitions.
-
You will also be a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), an international singing organization representing a historic legacy. The Huron Valley chapter is just one among hundreds of choruses and quartets spread across the country and worldwide. If you travel to another town with a BHS chorus, they'll be thrilled to have you stop in and sing with them!
-
You can participate in the BHS-sponsored educational events and conventions we regularly attend. Every spring, for example, we compete in the Pioneer District chorus competition, along with 6-12 other choruses from all over Michigan and lower Ontario.
-
Every other month, you will receive the Barbershop Harmony Society’s magazine, The Harmonizer. It is a great publication with news about chapters and choruses worldwide. Plus, it always highlights a variety of singing techniques.
-
Members receive discounts on merchandise, music, and events purchased from the Barbershop Harmony Society.
-
Your membership dues help support the Barbershop Harmony Society, our Pioneer District, and most importantly, our chapter and chorus. The dues also support the educational events we participate in, the expenses involved in purchasing music, learning tracks, and much more.
Dues
Annual dues are $250 with an option for monthly payments.
